Our Optometrists

Dr. Michael Mayer S.

Optometrist

Dr. Mayer graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1992 & has been in private practice in our office ever since. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the California Optometric Association, & is the Tulare-Kings County Optometric Association's Past President.

He is a local boy too, as he is a proud graduate of Hanford High School. Dr. Mayer moved to Hanford in 1979 with his parents & younger brother Rob. He, with his wife Rhonda, are now raising their three boys in the town that he grew up in. Dr. Mayer is an avid golfer and scuba diver as well. Dr. Mayer is also Glaucoma and therapeutically certified.
Dr. Aakash Shah

Optometrist

Dr. Shah was born and raised in the Central Valley, more specifically in Huron and Porterville. He did his undergraduate work at UCLA and did his doctorate in Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, & the Tulare-Kings Optometric Association.

In his free time, Dr. Shah enjoys working on his fitness with Crossfit and Spartan racing. He has also started a Vision Therapy program at our office to help children fix their eye problems by using 'physical therapy' for the eyes. Dr. Shah is also Glaucoma and therapeutically certified to take care of any medical needs you may have.
Dr. Nichole Nino

Optometrist

Dr. Nichole Nino did her undergraduate studies at the University of California Irvine. She did her doctorate in Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry in 2014. That is where she met Dr. Shah and subsequently got married and was convinced to move to our Central Valley.

Dr. Nino enjoys baking and spending time with her family. Dr. Nino has been practicing in Lemoore since 2014 and we are very excited she has joined our practice and will be able to help our patients in Hanford. Dr. Nino is Glaucoma and therapeutically certified to take care of any medical eye problems you may have.
